AwardRoute policy

Privacy Policy

Effective July 12, 2026. This policy explains how AwardRoute collects, uses, and protects information.

Who We Are

AwardRoute is an independently operated award travel planning software service based in the United States. Privacy questions can be sent to privacy@awardroute.com.

Data We Collect

We collect account email, authentication records, profile preferences, loyalty-program selections, manually entered wallet balances, trip goals, saved searches, support messages, and actions taken inside the service. We also collect basic device, browser, IP address, request, security, and operational log information.

How We Use Data

We use information to authenticate users, provide wallet and trip-planning features, calculate recommendations, save projects and watchlists, operate support and security processes, prevent abuse, measure service reliability, understand feature usage, and improve AwardRoute.

Loyalty Credentials

AwardRoute is designed not to request or store third-party airline, hotel, bank, issuer, or loyalty-program passwords. Do not place those credentials, full payment card numbers, or government identifiers in notes or other free-text fields.

Analytics and Advertising

AwardRoute records first-party usage events and may use service providers for infrastructure, analytics, email delivery, security, and advertising. Public pages load the Google AdSense script for site verification and may display ads on substantial content pages after approval. Google and advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies according to their own policies and applicable consent requirements.

Cookies and Local Storage

AwardRoute uses browser storage and similar technologies to maintain a signed-in session, remember account context, support security, and operate site features. Browser settings can clear or block storage, although doing so may prevent sign-in or saved preferences from working.

Sharing

We do not sell manually entered wallet balances or trip projects. We may share limited information with service providers that process data for hosting, database, email, monitoring, security, analytics, or advertising functions; to comply with law; to protect rights and safety; or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.

Retention

Account and planning data is retained while an account is active and as reasonably needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, maintain security, and comply with law. Operational logs and backups use shorter or scheduled retention periods. Deleted data may remain in encrypted backups until those backups expire.

Security

AwardRoute uses reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including authenticated access, encrypted network connections in production, restricted infrastructure access, and backups. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Report suspected vulnerabilities to security@awardroute.com.

Your Choices

You can choose which balances and trip details to enter. You may request access, correction, or deletion by emailing privacy@awardroute.com from the account email. AwardRoute may need to verify identity before completing a request.

Children

AwardRoute is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact privacy@awardroute.com if you believe a child submitted information.

Changes

We may update this policy as the service or legal requirements change. Material updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
